On a rainy afternoon, Villa firsts made it four wins in a row in all competitions with a comprehensive 7-0 victory over visiting Babbacombe Corinthians. Ashley Beetschen led the goalscoring with a brace, and he was joined on the score-sheet by Joshua Barker, Thomas Mayer, Charlie Thomas, Josh Wren and substitute Harvey Veysey.

Paignton Villa firsts lost 3-2 to an Ilsington side who will feel lucky to get out of Paignton with all three points. Ilsington started the game strong, running into a 3-0 lead at half time; however, some great tactical changes by Manager Ben Norton and some excellent football played into the wind and rain saw Paignton bring the game back to within a goal. Man of the match was close, but Jake Price’s defensive show in the second half was enough for him to get the accolade.

Villa will kick off their Devon League campaign at home to Plymstock United on 5th September.
